Actual runtime depends on settings, WiFi, temperature and battery condition. Both listings describe a 1.47-inch screen, 4K capture and EIS/HDR. The package comparison explains the choices. Do not treat the two listings as identical accessories around an assumed identical specification.

Your first recording, step by step

  1. Charge according to the supplied instructions and check the card is recognized. Back up any existing files before formatting or reusing a card.
  2. Identify a compatible attachment in your package. Secure it while stationary, check clearance and use the screen to frame the view. Do not drill or modify protective equipment based on a generic camera guide.
  3. Record a short clip using the settings you intend to use. Include normal movement and sound, then stop safely before operating the controls.
  4. Play the saved clip, checking the view and sound. A live preview or recording icon alone does not prove that the file is usable.
  5. For phone transfer, use the exact app or QR instructions supplied with the camera and connect to its nearby WiFi. Follow the documented phone permissions. The local connection may have no internet; it is not a 4G remote-view service.
  6. Copy a clip, open the copy and confirm it plays before deleting or allowing the original to be overwritten.

Prepare for the trip you actually intend to film

For selected POV clips, list the key scenes and reserve battery for the last one. A full day outside does not mean the camera can record continuously all day. Rehearse your chosen settings and charging breaks using the battery planning worksheet.

For wet use, IP65 is not an immersion rating. Use only a compatible housing for underwater work, inspect its seal and follow the exact instructions. Keep charging connections dry. The water protection guide separates splash resistance from housing requirements.

For useful footage, test a short walking or riding segment safely and replay it. EIS cannot remove every vibration; HDR cannot guarantee the same result in every light. The EIS/HDR guide and wind-noise checklist help you assess the recording.

Find the problem before changing the setup

The phone says “no internet”

A direct camera WiFi connection can work without internet access. Follow the supplied app instructions and check whether the camera is connected locally. Do not expect that connection to provide remote viewing after you leave.

The clip is missing or will not play

Check the recognized card and recording status, then distinguish playback on the camera from playback of a copied file. Preserve existing footage; do not format as the first troubleshooting step. Test a short new clip when safe.

The battery ends sooner than expected

Compare your settings, screen and WiFi use with your own rehearsal. The stated maximum is not a guaranteed duration. Plan a suitable dry charging opportunity and verify files, not just the battery indicator.

I cannot identify the app or attachment

Check the model label, package instructions and included QR code. Do not install an app or firmware just because it works with a similar-looking camera. Contact Bextgoo with the exact package and a photo of the label; never send account passwords or verification codes.
