Time marches on—and so does action cam technology... After years of putting up with clunky, boxy models that ran out of battery quickly, I wanted to try out one of these modern, compact ones. Since I wanted to go easy on my wallet, I opted for this more affordable model. Ordered => delivered => unboxed (the SD card was even already inside!) => turned on => app installed => connected. That simple? – YES, it was really easy. So, off to the field test: I clamped the device onto my bike... Wow—great image quality, even in the dark or fog of the forest. The battery? ... Oh right—I completely forgot to charge it... But it didn't matter—after 3 hours, there was still plenty of juice left. Recordings in dashcam mode (5-minute sequences) can easily be transferred to your phone via the app, played back on the phone, or captured as screenshots. You can also access the content very easily on a computer via USB-C. While on the go, the (waterproof) camera can be recharged using the magnetic connector. Nach einer Stunde Aufnahme in 4k waren etwa 25% Akku verbraucht. Damit kann man also wirklich gut leben. Die Bildqualität ist in Ordnung. Farben sehen ganz gut aus und Bewegungen werden flüssig eingefangen. Die EIS Funktion um Verwicklungen auszugleichen ist minimal aber vorhanden. Ansonsten macht die Cam was die Verarbeitung angeht einen guten Eindruck. Spritzwasser sollte auch kein Problem sein, da die Abdeckung für den USB Port und die Speicherkarte aus fest sitzendem Gummi ist. Alles im Allen bin ich zufrieden mit der Cam.

The battery life seems good, too; after an hour of recording in 4K, it had used about 25% of the battery. That’s a really solid performance. The image quality is decent. Colors look good, and motion is captured smoothly. There is an EIS function to compensate for camera shake—it’s minimal, but present. Otherwise, the camera makes a good impression in terms of build quality. Splashing water shouldn't be an issue either, as the cover for the USB port and memory card slot is made of tight-fitting rubber. All in all, I’m happy with the camera.

I can recommend it, with a few minor caveats.

Mounted on the handlebar clamp of a road bike. Smooth video, very clear and sharp 4K image, perfect stabilization. Haven't tested 2K video. However, while the sound is decent when the bike is stationary with the engine running, it is very disappointing at speeds above 30 km/h. Also, mounting it on the handlebar clamp requires using 20mm hex-socket screws because it's impossible to secure from below using the supplied screws (due to the mounting screws' original orientation). Remember to use a high-quality V10 SD card.
